Green Card Renewal Online, Form I-90

Green card holders are required to maintain an unexpired U.S. permanent residence or green card. Most legal permanent residents have a green card that expires in 10 years. All green card holders that have a card that expires in a ten-year term have the option of renewing it for another 10-year term or applying for U.S. citizenship.

Apply for Employment Authorization, I-765

The United States government recognizes that the adjudication of certain applications takes quite some time to adjudicate. To integrate the applicant into the American workforce, the government grants temporary work authorization and a social security number after a background check while the application is pending. Form I-765 can be filed with USCIS by mail or online at the USCIS website.
